If you're ready for a C2 Corvette you can actually have fun with, take a closer look at this '64 Corvette coupe. The subject of a full restoration, the shell has been completely reworked with shaved headlights, fender flares, bumper deletes and a Stinger-style hood before being gel-coated and shot with bright red PPG paint. The paintwork is topped with a mix of showroom fresh chrome and stainless for a crisp exterior that shows well from all angles. Flip the hood forward and a built 489cid V8 comes into view. Starting with a GM 454 block that's been stroked .250 and bored .060 over, the core was then filled with go-fast goodies like a Comp Cams hydraulic roller camshaft, SRP pistons, Eagle rods and a forged crank. Topped with Edelbrock aluminum heads, an Edelbrock intake and a Quick Fuel 830cfm carb, this is a motivated mill. Behind the big block, a Keisler-engineered Tremec five-speed manual transmission makes rowing gears a blast before sending power back to a stock GM Posi rear with 3.36 gears. Around the drivetrain, an updated suspension adds KYB gas shocks, a fiberglass monoleaf, adjustable strut rods and upgraded sway bars to the mix. Steering is manual as are the four-wheel disc brakes with dual-pin calipers and cross-drilled rotors. Satin black floors and new hardware keep the undercarriage show ready while 15-inch American Racing Torque Thrust D's wrapped in Firestone radials connect the chassis to the road. Between the doors, a the familiar C2 interior has been updated with an eight-point roll cage, C5 Z06 Corvette seats, new Autometer gauges and a Custom Sound AM/FM/Cassette head unit with new speakers all around.
