Original 440 Engine Original 4 Speed Manual Transmission New Zero Mile Cosmetic Rotisserie Restoration Air Grabber Hood 76,530 Actual Miles Build Sheet / Original Owner's Manual Power Windows Exterior Color: B5 Blue Interior Color: Blue Exterior Condition: Excellent Interior Condition: Excellent The Plymouth GTX first sprang to life in 1967 and was sometimes referred to as the gentleman's muscle car. A success from the get go and in 1968 the model benefited from many upgrades. Some may argue the point but if you want the coolest GTX then you need to step up to 1969 where the best variation was produced. Presented here is a most fine example. Let's begin with the just completed and documented cosmetic rotisserie restoration. The car was refinished in its original B5 Blue flavor and the mirror finish is spectacular. The car hasn't seen a rain drop, bird drop or bug splat since being completed. Restored by one of the preeminent Mopar collectors on the West Coast, the car is in wonderful overall condition from the roof line right down to the red line tires and chrome wheel trim rings. The N96 fresh air hood, which was an option in '69, also adds to the muscle bling. Slip inside and you will find a like new appearance across the board. The bucket seat blue interior is comfortable for a performance car but it is unusual that the original owner didn't option power steering or power brakes but checked the order box for power windows. The'69 GTX had a simply and straight forward control and gauge layout. Alternator, fuel, temperature, RPM and fuel are the limit of the gauges and the controls were just lights, flashers, washers and wipers. You will also find the original AM/ 8 Track radio and the 8 track player plays just like it did over 40 years ago. The original 440 engine is rated to produce 375 HP and fires up perfectly. Likewise the original 4 speed manual transmission runs through the gears without any issues. The car is also outfitted with the world renowned DANA 60. When you inspect closely the restorer's attention to detail on this original low mile and well documented American muscle car, you understand how thoroughly performed the restoration was and as such, provides confidence in the entire package.
