Door, hood and trunk gaps are perfect and the paintâs perfect all the way to the rockers. Every piece of chrome was redone and shines better than new. Every piece of stainless was straightened and polished to a mirror finish. The grille is an excellent original while the tail panel is a perfect restored piece. Front and rear lenses are new. The wheel lip moldings could be mistaken for chrome. There are new â Plymouthâ callout letters and a new 426 ornament on the hood, new door handles and driver mirror on the sides and new chrome tips out back under the re-chromed bumper. Chrome road wheels (pulling overtime for a set of Sport wheel covers on black steel rims) carry new Firestone 7.75x14 reproduction redlines. The carâs a stunner from any distance! We have the original broadcast sheet, which is 100% intact, 100% legible and decoded by Galen Govier. Most importantly, the core support sequence number matches the build sheet, which ties the sequence number to the VIN. Thatâs as ironclad as it gets. Slide inside the fully restored interior. There are new seat covers, a new carpet and a new headliner, all expertly installed. Mint, new door panels with perfect armrest pads and new bases are at your sides under gloss red metallic upper door frame paint. The gauge cluster bezel and glove box door were re-chromed and the original gauges were restored. The dash pad up top is mint and flat, the console and top panels are mint, the steering wheel is restored and mint, the roof rail trim is beautiful. The factory code 579 undercoating was completely removed during the rotisserie restorationâ'in its place is the same white paint as the top, which is a lot better looking and easier to clean than black goop! A fully restored 8 °3/4 rear housing was powder-coated by Totally Auto while the 742 center section with a Sure Grip and 3.55 gears are from Randy's Ring and Pinion. There's a Hemi-spec transmission with its $2000 rebuild in the middle and an original 1966 dated Hemi up front. A new exhaust system was ceramic coated before installation with new clamps and hangers. New stainless lines connect the brake and fuel systems. Thereâs an NOS fuel tank in the rear, a new suspension up front and 100% new brakes at all four corners. The floor pans and frame rails were smoothed and sanded for a brand new appearance. Open the hood to reveal the massive 426 Hemi. Rebuilt by Ray Barton there arenât any issues with drivability or overheating that you can have with radical engines thanks to careful planning and the right parts. The forged crank was refinished while JE pistons swing from Barton H beam rods. A Crane cam sets the beat just a hair above stock, opening new stainless valves hung closed by new dual valve springs. The correct Carter AFB carburetors, #âs 4139S and 4343S, are in place under the original air cleaner and bolted to the original intake. The rest of the engine compartment is up to snuff, with a correctly restored wiper motor, new wiring harnesses and battery cables, date coded plug wires, an original washer fluid bottle, a reproduction group 27 battery, a dual point distributor and the original 934 radiator.
