1971 Mercedes Benz 280SL complete with both, the hardtop and convertible softtop. This Benz is in incredible unrestored condition. Original everything and nearly as good as new. Paint, chrome and trim are in excellent condition as is the original interior. No body rust! No seat tears or dash cracks at all. Less than 50000 actual miles on her 2.8 litre 6 cylinder 180hp engine. Factory A/C & AM-FM stereo. Seats move and roll back easily. Lights, signals and wipers work perfectly. Speedometer, odometer and tach work as well. Her 2.8 litre engine starts right up and cruises beautifully. Brakes and new. Michelin 185-R14" tires are not brand new but do have at least 75% treadlife left. Full sized spare is brand new. Hardtop goes on and comes off easily as does the softtop. There are no leaks and no sign that there ever were any. There is nothing you need to do but get in and drive. Even he undercarriage is impressive as the photos will show. With all the good stuff said, there are a few things that are not perfect. After all, this is a 40year old car. There are some scratches in the rear where the back part of the hardtop sits. These were obviously caused by putting the hardtop on the car. There is also a small black wear mark on the softtop which were made from the way it sat when folded down. Both marks are shown in the photos. Other than this and a minor scratch or two, the car is absolutely incredible but dont take our word for it.
