This magazine featured 1972 Corvette has been verified by Motion Performance as a one of one bridge car between the Motion Maco Shark body kits and the Motion Manta Ray super cars. The cars 2006 frame up restoration returned the car to exactly how Mr. Rosen envisioned the car in 1972 with Dupont Hot Hues Yellow basecoat, a gold pearl overcoat and a correct black stinger stripe and black rear panel. All of the original Motion body parts are present and accounted for including the custom one piece fiberglass front end, custom flat rear window, custom rear spoiler and custom fiberglass racing mirrors. The car is powered by its original numbers-matching LS5 454 that still includes all of the Motion Performance upgrades it received in 1972. Underneath the car you'll find an original numbers matching M21 Muncie 4-speed transmission hooked to the cars original Posi-traction rear end. Suspension is a traditional front double A-arm set up and an independent rear set up and 11.75 inch manual disc brakes at every corner combine with manual steering to provide a road feel that is identical to how the car drove in 1972. After much searching, a set of 15 inch American Racing Turbine wheels was purchased off of eBay and completely restored to their rightful appearance and bolted to the car. Complete with chrome lug nuts and prerequisite Motion center caps, they wear modern 225/70 front and 275/60 rear Goodyear Eagle GTII radials. The interior of this 1972 Motion Corvette is almost 100% original to the car and features diamond tufted upholstery. This '72 Corvette is a rare Cinderella story that added a large piece of forgotten history to the Motion Performance legacy and would be a perfect centerpiece to any significant muscle car or super car collection.
